Revolut has officially launched its new ATM network in Spain, marking what it calls The Revolution of ATMs. After decades without major updates, these advanced machines aim to redefine how customers access cash and financial services.

The company introduced 50 ATMs across Madrid and Barcelona, with plans to expand to Valencia, Málaga, and other major cities. Eventually, up to 200 machines will operate across the country. Revolut ATMs offer modern features including, instant card collection, contactless withdrawals, and zero fees for Revolut customers. Users can also find the nearest ATM through the integrated locator in the app.

Why start in Spain? The country remains heavily cash-reliant, with more than 60% of in-store transactions still made using cash. Revolut already serves nearly 5 million Spanish users, making it an ideal market for this physical expansion.

The machines promise a superior experience compared to traditional ATMs. They include large 32-inch touchscreens, multilingual support, and accessibility features. Customers can withdraw cash using a physical card or contactless technology. Competitive exchange rates apply for currency conversions, ensuring transparency and avoiding hidden fees. Non-Revolut customers can also use the ATMs for a small fee, and they have the option to sign up on the spot and receive a card instantly.

Revolut’s move blends digital convenience with physical presence. The new ATMs bridge the gap between app-based banking and real-world access points. By offering free withdrawals, modern design, and advanced security, the company aims to enhance trust and brand loyalty.

Future plans include rolling out these ATMs across Europe, targeting countries like Germany, Italy, and Portugal by 2026. This expansion strengthens Revolut’s mission to deliver a seamless global financial experience while meeting local needs.

With The Revolution of ATMs, Revolut is not just updating machines; it is transforming one of banking’s most essential touchpoints. This initiative sets a new standard for convenience, transparency, and accessibility in personal finance.
