Revolut reaches 2 million customers across the Nordics, marking a major milestone in the region. Revolut reaches 2 Million Customers as it accelerates its expansion in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. The fintech company has ambitious plans for 2026, aiming to grow its Nordic user base to three million by the end of the year.

The company plans to launch a Swedish branch with local IBANs, allowing users to receive salaries, make domestic transfers, and set up direct debits. Revolut will also expand regional partnerships and sponsorships to strengthen its presence across the Nordics.

“Our true competitors are the local, traditional banks,” said Antoine Le Nel, Revolut’s Chief Growth Officer. “Then there are some strong buy-now-pay-later players, but that’s more niche compared to the full range of services we provide.”

Revolut now operates under its European banking licence from Lithuania. The Stockholm branch is central to the company’s Nordic strategy. It will enable new offerings, including daily-interest savings accounts in local currencies, commission-free ETF investing, and Apple’s tap-to-pay service for small businesses. Recruitment is already underway in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland to strengthen compliance, operations, and risk management teams.

The fintech company thanks its Nordic customers for welcoming its services into everyday life. With a focus on local banking solutions, Revolut is positioning itself as a serious alternative to traditional financial institutions in one of the world’s most digitally advanced regions.
