Revolut has taken a major step in its global expansion with the announcement “Revolut Launches Full Banking Operations in Mexico.” The company ended its beta phase on January 27, 2026. It now operates as a fully licensed digital bank in the country. This milestone marks Revolut’s first full banking launch outside Europe. Revolut has launched full banking operations in Mexico, showcasing the scale of this move and the company’s ambition in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
Revolut is now offering its services to all Mexican residents aged 18 and older. Users can download the app, verify their identity with a valid INE, and open an account within minutes. The bank promises a simple and modern experience. It also offers savings accounts with yields up to 15%.
The new institution operates as an Institución de Banca Múltiple, which gives it full regulatory approval. Customer deposits are protected by IPAB insurance up to around 3.4 million pesos. Revolut has invested over $100 million in the Mexican market. This funding provides a strong capital base and a launch CAR of more than 400%. Executives say this ensures long-term stability and responsible growth.
Revolut’s entry includes several key features. Users can make local and international transfers. They can also exchange more than 30 currencies at competitive rates. Free and instant transfers between Revolut users are available worldwide. The bank plans to introduce family accounts, premium options, and loyalty rewards. It will also add new features every two weeks, according to Revolut Mexico executives.
One highlight is the introduction of free remittances between Mexico and the United States. Revolut expects this service to save customers billions of pesos each year. Leaders say it could drive broader financial inclusion and reduce hidden costs for migrant families.
Revolut aims to attract two million users in its first year in Mexico. The company already serves more than 70 million customers globally. Executives describe Mexico as a gateway to future growth across Latin America. They say the launch will guide Revolut’s expansion into other high-potential regions.
The app is now available on iOS and Android stores. Mexican residents can start using Revolut immediately and access a full range of digital banking services.
