Inspired by the founder of the Chime Scholars Foundation (CSF), the scholarship aims to help students achieve their educational and professional aspirations. The Chime Scholarship ensures that deserving students receive the financial support they need to complete their studies. Eligible candidates must demonstrate financial need, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and qualify for a Federal Pell Grant. Preference is given to students residing or studying in the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Dallas, Columbus, Atlanta, or the New York Tri-State Area.

To apply, students must submit a FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) showing their Student Aid Index (SAI), an official or unofficial transcript, and responses to specific essay prompts. The application requires students to reflect on their passions, educational goals, and personal resilience. They can submit responses in either written or video format.
